If you agree to the following, please sign your name on our petition at the URL listed above. We seek 1 million names to carry to Washington, D.C. and we need your help. Tell your family and friends about this national movement and have them sign on also. In addition, your city and state, occupation, and email address.

1. A National Single Payer Healthcare System that would guarantee medical care for all, regardless of income and would include prescription drugs.

2. The Federal Government would establish uniform regulatory standards and oversight on how healthcare is delivered safely. A National Medical Safety Board would accomplish this.

3. Reform of medical malpractice laws (refer to "Why We Fight" Nos 3, 5.)

4. A hearing or a series of hearings should be held to discuss the implementation of safety in healthcare.

5. Civil and Human Rights violations would be addressed and resolved by appropriate agencies as would criminality in healthcare.

6. State health agencies would be held accountable and would function under the umbrella of the National Medical Safety Board.

7. It has been estimated that every single American has either been personally affected by medical malpractice or knows someone who has. We must end this national disgrace.
